Kelly Beason , "The Beason Bit"

I would like to tell you just a “bit” about myself. I’m originally from Huntsville, Alabama. I moved to Albertville, Alabama in 1983 when I married my wonderful husband Steve Beason during my junior year at UAH. I graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1987. We have three sons and one daughter, Wesley, Chad, Colten and Anna Claire.

I was saved during a tragic time in my life, when my brother was killed in a car accident in January 1988. Jesus radically changed my life and gave me a new purpose and direction. He was truly my comfort, hope, peace and strength during that difficult time.

We are members of Albertville First Baptist Church where we are very active. I sing with the “Breath of Praise“ worship team. Through this ministry I have traveled to many churches for revivals and special events. I am also active in GA’s, The Great Physicians Medical Clinic, Mountain Moving Prayer and Praise Ministry, Marshall County Correctional Facility and this is my ninth year to serve as the Marshall County Coordinator for Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child. Steve and I teach the First Grade Sunday Sunday School Class. I also serve on the Missions Committee and have been on three Missions Trips. Twice to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi to help with Hurricane Disaster Relief and a Missions Trip to Cabo San Lucas Mexico.

It is such a joy and an honor to minister through the “Beason Bit” on WJIA Radio. God has blessed me with an outlet to share and encourage out of my overflow. Psalm 96:3 says to tell everyone about the amazing things He does. I view the listeners as God’s Garden and I’m simply planting seeds and watering them. We have to trust God with the growth and the harvest.

My favorite hobby is working in my flower gardens. I love to combine different color schemes and unusual flowers, I even enjoy watering, I find it relaxing. God has truly made my spirit like an overflowing fountain and WJIA is the sprinkler! In short, my life verse is found in Isaiah 58:11 “ The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden like an ever-flowing spring.” I want to give back to God because He has blessed me so much. My motto: Let Your Spirit Soar Beyond the Expectations. God Bless You.
